The Liposuction Procedure
Dr. Gustavo Ayala utilizes the tumescent liposuction technique in addition to traditional liposuction. Meanwhile, in tumescent liposuction, Dr. Ayala carefully injects a saltwater solution that contains some adrenaline or anesthetic into the area to be treated. Tumescent liposuction is known to be one of the safest and most effective cosmetic surgery techniques. The solution makes fat removal a more simple process and reduces the bleeding swelling, and skin irregularities that can result from other methods. Still, as with any surgical technique, there is always the possibility of complications, however small; in tumescent liposuction, the risks include lidocaine toxicity and fluid accumulation in the lungs.
